Be kind to yourself
- Get to know yourself, what makes you happy and what you value in life.
- Feel your feelings, don’t repress them. You are only human and it’s natural to feel low esteem at times.
- Consider what self-esteem means to you and if you are basing your sense of self-worth on things that aren’t useful, helpful or out of your control.
- Try to challenge unkind thoughts.
- Avoid comparing yourself to others.
- Try saying positive affirmations to yourself such as “I love myself” and “I am worthy of love”.
