"My approach is integrative combining different modalities of therapy including psychodynamic and person centred counselling.I believe issues such as anxiety, stress and depression are often symptoms of past traumas or difficult relationships. This can result in feelings of sadness, low self confidence, Low Self Esteem or sometimes anger. Through counselling, I offer an opportunity to identify and overcome these, or other difficult feelings you may be experiencing, which may be interfering with relationships at home or work.I am able to work online or over the telephone if preferred, but equally would welcome working face to face from my counselling room, which is situated just outside Chorleywood in Hertfordshire, WD3.The initial 30 minute consultation is free and this time can be used to establish if we are able to work together and whether counselling feels right for you. During an initial assessment session, we can explore the reasons you have decided to seek support at this time. We can look at aims and expectations and agree the focus of our sessions together. I am able to work short term or long term depending on your needs.I am an Professionally Accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (Membership Number NCS21-02263). I am also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Registration Number 390062) and adhere to their ethical framework.I hold a Level 5 CPCAB Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and take part in regular Continued Professional Development to keep up to date with safe practice. I also hold an enhanced DBS Certificate to work with both adults and children."
