Bio

"I’m an integrative therapist with a prior 20-year working history of mentoring & counselling young people. I have a broad knowledge & experience working with all age groups & have in the past volunteered locally as a bereavement counsellor. You can find me on www.affinitykcounselling.com I love my work and have worked with issues such as self-harming, anxiety, depression & panic attacks. I work using a variety of theories ranging from CBT, Inner child healing, addictions, mentoring & managing study & work pressures. I offer regular structured counselling sessions as well as single session. Generally, a series of regular sessions is needed to do justice to the issues people bring. But there are times when a single session is appropriate and adequate. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential, warm, empathetic space for you to explore your issues as well as a free 15-minute telephone consultation to give you the time & opportunity to decide if this service is right for you. I regard myself as an open, warm, empathetic person who is very aware of how challenging it can be to share the very sensitive & emotional issues you may bring. I will listen to your concerns carefully & support you to explore ways to move forward. I will always respect you & your right to be heard without judgment. I look forward to working with you."
