"You're already on your way; I'll meet you where you are.Walk & talk therapy in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and online therapy throughout the UK for individual adults. There are times when we feel we are perpetually in motion; there are also seasons of stasis when we ache for change. Transitions can be expected phases of life: moving somewhere new, relationships, parenthood, menstruation and menopause, retirement. Or transitions can be unexpected: career change, loss, bereavement, divorce, other sudden changes in plan. Whether expected, unexpected, or somewhere in between, life transitions can affect our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Life events may even influence our sense of self and identity. I aim to offer a safe and confidential therapeutic relationship to help you make sense of your experience: the transition itself and the accompanying thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Not all therapy is characterised by prescribed solutions or advice; the approaches I use centre the process of self-empowerment and self-understanding leading to organic, committed change.Whether you need short-term support to cope with a transition or are looking to better understand long-term patterns surrounding transitions in your life, I hope to provide a non-judgemental space for you to explore and develop the skills you feel would help. Education and QualificationsI qualified as a master's level clinician in the United States in 2018 and have experience working with teenagers, adults, and older adults in after school programs, universities, senior centres, and care homes. Since relocating to the UK, I have dedicated my time to both voluntary therapy provision and the development of Willow & Thyme. Following accreditation by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) in 2022, I began volunteering with Footsteps Counselling and Care, a Gloucestershire based charity supporting people affected by traumatic birth, loss of a baby, fertility problems, and pregnancy related mental health needs. I have found connection and resonance working within that transitional space, as well as other life transitions related to identity and purpose. Regardless of how and why we meet, the relationship we build is both entirely unique and essential to our work together."
